I work primarily as a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. However, in my attempt to promote access to care, I keep a very limited availability for insurance-based clients. I am in network with Aetna and Optum, so please inquire if I have openings if you wish to use insurance.

I can provide superbills upon request that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Sliding scales are offered, so please inquire to see if you qualify for reduced pricing if the full session cost is unaffordable.

The biggest question always asked….Why don’t you take insurance?

So let me be transparent.

The biggest reason is our broken healthcare system that is focused on profit rather than preventative care.

Other reasons include:

  • More flexibility with treatment-there are no barriers of who you may see and for how long, just as I do not have anyone dictating how I treat clients.

  • Business and financial purposes-insurance can take months to process claims which makes it difficult to efficiently budget both a business and personal finances.

  • Potential denial of claims-There is always a chance for insurance to deny a claim, which then makes it the client’s responsibility to pay and multiple claims can add up very quickly.

Payment for services are due upon conclusion of sessions. The following forms of payment are accepted:

  • Credit or debit card

  • Health savings account (HSA) card

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card
